MAVERIK EDUCATION LLC conducts a professional development needs assessment that measures the following:

  • Identifying a comphrensive school reform model that will strengthen the school's education program
  • Establishing a tiered invention program based upon the Response to Intervention (RtI) or Multi-Tiered Systems of Support​​ (MTSS) models
  • Developing a Title I Schoolwide Transition Plan that addresses and to the 10 components of a Title I Schoolwide Program
  • Conducting a comprehensive needs assessment that garners feedback and input from all stakeholders on overall school performance

According to Section 1114(2)(A) of Title I, Part A of the Every Students Succeeds Act (ESSA),  "Any eligible school that desires to operate a schoolwide program shall first develop (or amend a plan for such a program that was in existence on the day before the date of enactment of the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001), in consultation with the local educational agency and its school support team or other technical assistance provider under section 1117".  State education agency policies and procedures generally require a local education agency and / or individual school currently implementing a Title I Targeted Assistance Program to undergo a yearlong transition process to a Title I Schoolwide Program.

Who Receives Title I Consultation? 

As documented under Section 1115 of Title I, Part A of the Every Students Succeeds Act (ESSA), a local education agency receiving Title I funds "may use funds received under this part only for programs that provide services to eligible children under subsection (b) identified as having the greatest need for special assistance ... Eligible children are children identified by the school as failing, or most at risk of failing, to meet the State's challenging student academic achievement standards on the basis of multiple, educationally related, objective criteria established by the local educational agency and supplemented by the school, except that children from preschool through grade 2 shall be selected solely on the basis of such criteria as teacher judgment, interviews with parents, and developmentally appropriate measures".

TRANSITIONING TO A TITLE I SCHOOLWIDE PROGRAM

MAVERIK EDUCATION LLC provides consultation in the development of academic programs that are funded and governed under federal and state statutes that address the following:

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT NEEDS ASSESSMENT

According to Section 2122(c) of Title II-A of the Every Students Succeeds Act, a local education agency "shall conduct an assessment of local needs for professional development and hiring, as identified by the local educational agency and school staff.​"

TITLE I SCHOOLWIDE PROGRAM PLANNING AND COMPLIANCE

As documented under Section 1114 of Title I, Part A of the Every Students Succeeds Act (ESEA), a local education agency receiving Title I funds "that desires to operate a schoolwide program shall first develop (or amend a plan for such a program that was in existence on the day before the date of enactment of the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001), in consultation with the local educational agency and its school support team or other technical assistance provider under section 1117, a comprehensive plan for reforming the total instructional program in the school that describes how the school will implement the components described in paragraph (1)".

As documented under Section 1114(b)(1)(A) of Title I, Part A the Every Students Succeeds Act (ESSA), a local education agency receiving Title I funds must conduct “ [a] comprehensive needs assessment of the entire school (including taking into account the needs of migratory children as defined in section 1309(2)) that is based on information which includes the achievement of children in relation to the State academic content standards and the State student academic achievement standards described in section 1111(b)(1)”.
